The Mani

On the middle peninsula of the Peloponnese, called "The Mani", is the long stretched range of the Taygetos Mountains, reaching from sea level up to 2404m. While many of the coastal towns on the Mani are popular tourist destinations, the villages on the slopes and in the off coast valleys are much less frequented and often exude the romantic flair of past centuries. The pictures were taken on various trips to Mt. Kalathi above Kalamata, Profitis Ilias (the highest peak of Taygetos), and Ridomo Gorge, which can be accessed from Vorio or Pigadia.
